Year 2030 Scenario Overview
Not too long ago we lived through a global crisis of the pandemic. The pandemic brought many in-store businesses to switch to an e-commerce platform. The fashion industry hit a toll with inaccurate predictions of consumer demand, resulting in excess garments. Many individuals coping with their lost jobs started to move to buy secondhand. The idea of fast fashion has diminished as people are shifting their intentions over to shopping with investment. They are becoming more aware of the carbon footprint left behind by the fashion industry and the ethical behaviour of brands marketing. Companies have no choice in becoming transparent with their actions so that consumers can shop responsibly and sustainably.

For a couple of years, people have been exploring different vegetation-based fibres for creating biodegradable clothes. Previously, companies were attempting to make a shift to using eco-friendly materials, but the cost to process raw materials was high. With people's new mindset of shopping, there have been talks about having the consumer make their outfit from the approval of GOTS. This will be the next revolution in the way consumers shop by choosing what to wear, and feeling like they've made a difference. From start to finish, they can track its life cycle.

The process.

PT1.
In group of four, we were given the topic of DIY (Do It Yourself). Individually we explored trends, trend drivers, signals, counter trends, extrapolations and implications.

PT2.
As a team, we performed the 2x2 Critical Uncertainties Matrix of the potential future world. Individually conceived a scenario with the time horizon of 2030. With the scenario in mind and the challenge, composed potential designs for part 3.

PT3.
Create a promotional artifact of the conceptual future.
I began with sketching and building a mock app. I then created a story line for the video and used both Adobe Illustrator and Figma to create the animated video. I added a voice over using iMovie.
